Join Working Class Movement Library on Saturday 12 February as they mark LGBT History Month with an exploration and celebration of lesbian gay bisexual transgender history through the fascinating collection at the Library.
Using live music, art and performance with singer /songwriter Claire Mooney, political cartoonist Fanny Cattran and readings from the works of Oscar Wilde and Edward Carpenter, we will transport you back to the Victorian drawing room and to the hot political climate of the 1970s to contrast and discuss the gay and lesbian struggle for identity and to give a tantalising glimpse into our inspirational Library.
Bring nothing but an open mind….
The event takes place between 1.30 and 4pm, it’s free, and everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be available.
