Saturday 13th April

Northern Vegan Festival
Sachas Hotel, Oldham Street

If you’re vegan, vegetarian or would like to find out more about an ethical, vegan diet and lifestyle and the huge variety of food and products that are available, then don’t miss the Northern Vegan Festival 2013. If it’s a success we plan to organise a vegan festival in a different northern city each year. So if you can’t make it to this one, watch this space!

There will be 100 stalls offering everything vegan, from toiletries, makeup and clothing to gifts, cakes and chocolate, as well as a chance to find out about national and local animal friendly organisations and groups.

Delicious food will be available from local vegan caterers and we will have some free samples from some of the finest vegan food companies, so make sure you come early before it’s all gone!

There will be two rooms for talks, children’s activities, films, entertainment and cookery demos throughout the day.

The Northern Vegan Festival will take place in Sachas Hotel in the heart of Manchester City Centre on Saturday 13th April 2013 from 10am – 6pm.

Admission is just £1 (under 12’s free) payable at the door.

Save the date – Sladyfest is back!

The non-profit, feminist festival returns to Slade Hall in Levenshulme on Sunday 21st April from 1pm, with a special programme dedicated to our bodies. Yes folks, we’ve all got one!

Callout: Ideas are invited for women / trans – led workshops that explore, animate and celebrate our bodies, or that debate and subvert our notions of them. Please also get in touch if you’d like to get involved on the day, or exhibit your art or show your film on the theme of ‘bodies’ during the festival: sladyfest@gmail.com

Building on the success of the January one-dayer, the day will also include practical skills and activities, a crèche, hot vegan food, the freeshop and the open mic.

More updates soon, in the meantime please spread the word!

Come and be inspired, whatever your gender!
