A performance of music and prose inspired by the work of German composer Hanns Eisler.
Hanns Eisler was one of a number of composers banned by the Nazi government as he believed that art had to be engaged with social and political struggles. His music is a window to a particular time and space. He died 50 years ago.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Oldham Unity working with refugees and asylum seekers.
7.30pm in Cross Street Chapel, Manchester, as part of the Manchester Peace Festival. Tickets cost £7/£5

This walk will explore sites in the Northern and Ancoats connected with Manchester’s radical past, including Chartism, trade unionism, the Spanish Civil War and the Suffragettes.
